Circular Refinery

A Waste Oil to Diesel Plant is an industrial facility that converts waste oils into commercial-grade diesel fuel through advanced pyrolysis distillation. This thermal process heats feedstock in an oxygen-free environment, breaking down long-chain hydrocarbons into lighter fractions that are then refined into diesel.

The standard procedure involves pre-treatment to remove impurities, precise heating in a sealed reactor, and controlled condensation to collect the fuel. These plants provide a strategic source of renewable energy, offering a sustainable alternative to fossil fuels while reducing the environmental impact of waste oil by preventing landfill disposal and ecosystem contamination.

Use Cases

The PPGT-DF Waste Oil to Diesel Plant is engineered to thermally crack the long-chain hydrocarbons found in waste oils into valuable diesel fuel and byproducts including light gas oil, light hydrocarbons, water, and asphaltene sludge. Utilizing Royal Neft’s exclusive fractionating and ultrasonic desulfurization technologies, the produced diesel meets stringent Euro-V standards.

This plant is capable of processing a wide variety of waste oil feedstocks into diesel and valuable byproducts. Compatible inputs include waste motor oil, gear oil, crankcase oil, hydraulic oil, tire/plastic pyrolysis oil, and slop oil. The PPGT-DF series provides a solution to energy resource challenges, generating profit with cost-effective operation.

For comprehensive waste oil processing solutions, we also offer complementary technologies such as our Waste Oil to Base Oil Plant and Lube Oil Refining Plant to support broader sustainability and profitability objectives.

Operational Mechanism

The PPGT-DF Waste Oil to Diesel Plant incorporates proprietary Royal Neft engineering, featuring the following integrated systems:

  • Dehydration & Sedimentation System

  • LGO Stripping System

  • Fractionating & Reflux System

  • Heaters & Heat Exchangers

  • Diesel Polishing System

  • PLC/SCADA Control System

Technical Specifications

1.Produced goods and their ancillary

The primary product of this process yields 80%~85% oil that meets commercial standard diesel specifications. Meanwhile, the byproducts consist of light ends, water, and oil sludge/residue. Light ends can be utilized as a fuel oil for burners that supply cement factories, glass factories, ceramic factories, electric power factories, steel-making factories, boiler factories, and other similar facilities. On the other hand, the oil sludge/residue can be repurposed for asphalt production.

The production will be started with a project kick off meeting; and then designing process for P&ID, process simulation, equipment selection, sizing and heat exchang calculation; and followed by manufacturing and equipment testment; then whole plant assembly for testing and then disassembling for shipping.

The waste are usually composed by gas, water, oil sludge/residue.

The gas will be purified for emission or recycled as heating fuel;

The water can be filtered and purified as cooling water;

The oil sludge can be used for burning or as material for making asphalt or road constructions.

The diesel produced by our distillation plant complies with a range of international standards, including API standards, EN 590 (European fuel quality standard), ASTM D975 (U.S. diesel standard), ISO 8217 (international maritime standard), and the Euro 3 to Euro 6 emission standards, ensuring its suitability for direct use in diesel engines and compliance with environmental regulations.
