PPGT-TB Series: Advanced Re-refining Technology for Base Oil Production
The PPGT-TB series features specialized process technology designed to convert used lubricating oils into high-quality API Group I base oil, matching near-virgin specifications. This re-refining system efficiently recovers valuable lubricant base stock by removing water, fuel diluents, additives, and solid contaminants.
The core of the PPGT-TB process is a high-efficiency vacuum distillation system, which employs Wiped Film Evaporation (WFE) for precise separation under controlled thermal conditions. Acknowledged as the industry-leading commercial re-refining method, this technology ensures optimal yield and premium product quality. The integrated PPGT process consistently delivers base oils that meet or exceed API Group I standards, providing a sustainable solution for closed-loop resource recovery.
Royal Neft: Advanced Re-refining for Premium Base Oils
Royal Neft delivers engineered re-refining solutions that convert used lubricating oils into high-grade base oils, from SN80 to SN500. Our integrated processes utilize advanced continuous distillation, wiped film evaporation, and short-path distillation to ensure maximum recovery and premium product quality.
To achieve superior results, we offer a proprietary Base Oil Solvent Extraction Plant. This innovative system replaces conventional clay treatment, enabling the production of high-stability API Group I+ base oils with excellent color and performance characteristics.
The PPGT-TB Waste Oil to Base Oil Plant is designed to process diverse used oils—including waste motor oil, hydraulic oil, crankcase oil, gear oil, transmission fluid, and slop oil. This efficient system provides a profitable and eco-conscious solution, combining low operating costs with high-value output.
For a complete oil recycling portfolio, our complementary technologies—such as the Waste Oil to Diesel Plant and Lube Oil Refining Plant—offer integrated, sustainable refining to support both environmental and economic goals.

Waste oil refineries employ three main heating technologies: electric heaters, thermal oil boilers, and direct-fired furnaces.
Electric heating systems are predominantly used in small-scale operations. They offer extensive temperature control and present an economical option for smaller refining setups.
Thermal oil boiler systems are ideal for medium to large-scale facilities. This method, operating via heat exchangers, is a standard in the petrochemical sector due to its safe operation, high efficiency, and precise temperature management. A common constraint is a maximum operating temperature of around 350–380°C.
Direct-fired furnaces are the standard for large-scale refining plants. They provide a broad operational temperature range and eliminate the need for an intermediate heat transfer fluid. A key installation factor is their significant height, typically requiring 18–20 meters of vertical space.
Refinery waste is categorized into four primary streams: gases, oily water, oil sludge, and spent adsorbents.
Gases can be purified prior to atmospheric release or directed to a furnace as fuel.
Oil sludge is suitable for use as fuel or as a raw material in bitumen production.
Oily water requires purification via specialized treatment systems or must be transferred to a licensed processing facility.
Spent adsorbents can be utilized for energy recovery through combustion or handed over to authorized recycling specialists
A standard waste oil refining process yields the following approximate product distribution:
Base Oil: 75%
Water & Light Ends: 5%
Light Gas Oil: 7%
Oil Sludge: 13%
The resulting base oil meets API Group 1 and 1+ specifications, achieving a quality comparable to virgin base oil through Royal Neft’s proprietary refining technology. This output can be marketed directly or further enhanced with additive packages for the production of new engine oils.
